It explores the transformative power of music in fostering dialogue, through the work of an ensemble that brings together musicians from different backgrounds.

Georges Yammine works are present in private collections and institutions such as the Barenboim-Said Foundation (Seville). He exhibited at Bernheimer Gallery (Lucerne), Leica Galerie (Salzburg), Photokina Köln (Cologne), Anima Gallery (Doha), Al Markhiya Gallery (Doha).

“Silent Impact: Narratives of Bullets” showcases one aspect of his work.

While documenting his musical life through photography, his wanderings in cities, nature, and deserts led him to unexpectedly discover a connection to his childhood. During his walks, he collects stray bullets. As a 10-year-old boy growing up in Lebanon during the late 1980s, Yammine already encountered the remnants of war with cartridge cases. Stray bullets carry mysterious meanings. They can signify both joy and sorrow. The mystery of the shooter’s intent persists until one accidentally comes across the lost bullet or shell casing, adding to the intrigue.

This exhibition delves into an evocative exploration of memory. Georges Yammine looks beyond the bullet’s intended purpose, seeing in its deformation a story of change and the passage of time.
