David Kramer

Artist Biography

Born in Manhattan in 1963, David Kramer is an American artist living and working in New York City. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from The George Washington University, Washington, DC and an MFA in Sculpture from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY.

Fusing text and imagery, Kramer’s work uses the language of memes and advertising as touchstones to create his paintings and works on paper which conjure messages that are both personal and universal at the same time. Kramer’s works have been shown at galleries around the world, and his work is in the permanent collections of the Pompidou in Paris, among others.

David Kramer is represented by Galerie Tanit Beirut/Munich.
